hola. i’m not exactly sure why i feel the need to make a blog every couple years and then not keep up with them. blogging is a little less exciting for me nowadays when i don’t really have much going on. days are kinda routine: work, eat, play (sometimes), sleep. and it seems that twitter would be enough for me to keep people up to date with my goings on. yet, i still felt like i needed to make this blog. shrugs. i suppose maybe i just needed some project to keep me occupied for a couple days. let out some creative juices that i get every couple years.
oh! i think that vacation was a part of the reason for this. i wanted to post pictures. at least maybe this way, i’ll get around to it. it’s way over due. it might take me a while though, there are soooo many pictures to go through.
so let’s see how long i can keep this up.

my mom left me a message on my vmail yesterday morning.
mom: jill, call me as soon as possible. i have to ask you about something.
so i call her back…
mom: what’s this text message i got? “thank you for upgrading your phone”? and then it says you will be bill for 300 something dollars?!
me: oh uhh.. thats me.. i upgraded my phone…
mom: you what?! what are you buying?! can you pay for this?!
me: yeah sure… wait a mintue… why did you get the text and not me??
mom: *laughs* i found you out, girlllll!!!

time for an update indeed! look everyone! i graduated! haha. but you all knew that didn’t you? i decided to particiapte in the giant commencement ceremony cause i figured i was only gonna do it once. it was long, but it was pretty cool. i liked how small our info group was. it kinda gets you noticed… or not.. cause we’re so small. haha. either way, it was cool.

i bought myself a new present with some graduation money. hehe. and with some of my friends already owning one, we like to geek out and have ds parties. oh yeah. btw, my brain age is 27 right now. lol.
the other night i went to the counting crows, goo goo dolls, and augustana show at the white river amphitheater. it was pretty cool. but what was not so cool was the traffic. it sucked bad. almost so bad that i would not want to see another show there. lol. but it’s a really nice place. and the weather was nice so it was even better. a big giant thank you goes out to david for inviting me! im glad that he discovered a new band that he likes. woot. anyone down for this?
have i ever mentioned that mowing our lawn sucks?? you know what else sucks? my car needs a new radiator. yuck.

it’s been about 3 months since i graduated and i’ve forgotten everything from school. like my final capstone presentation. i met with jay yesterday and we had the hardest time remembering our presentation. yuckkkk! and i dont think we’re gonna be able to practice in kane. :( for anyone who is interested in seeing me present my capstone project, come to the informatics capstone event. watch me make a fool of myself. lol.
saw x-men on wednesday. holy crap the line was long when we got there. and holy crap we were there earlier than usual. but we still got in and got ok seats. i was surprised by a couple of the events in the movie! im not a comic book geek or anything, but i dont think that was supposed to happen…. lol. and we missed the after the credits scene. :( so if you’re planning on watching x-men in the theater, stay til after the credits! overall, it was an entertaining movie. so that’s an A in my book.
oh yeah! i got a promotion at work! woooo! i am now a program assistant! i do less of what i did before and more random stuff. lol.

i won a pair of tickets from jack fm to the storm’s season opener. it was a good game. pretty exciting. well, it’s always exciting when you’re winning. i was hoping they were good seats, close to the floor…. “what’s STE??” *is directed to go up the stairs* ….. “you’re in suite 12…” coooooool. we got to the suite thinking there’d be other winners in there or something. but noooo, there was no one! we had the suite to ourselves. it was pretty cool. didn’t have to worry about bothering other people or other people bothering me. aannndd we had a private bathroom. awesomeee! but sadly, we didnt get any food. lol. watching the game makes me realize how much i miss playingggg. it’s been like years. we should totally put a half court in our side yard. haha.
saw the da vinci code on friday. when we got to the theater the line was sooooooo long. holy crap it was long. so we decided to see the later showing. if we had stayed in line, we’d be sitting either all in the front row or not together scattered around the theater. i wish i had listened to the audiobook again before watching the movie so that i could compare the two. people were saying the movie missed a lot of the story. meh.
went to the u-district street fair on saturday. it was pretty cool. leslie was excited to see the mini dog shows. there were sooo many cute dogs! i wish we could have brought the pups. hmm… yeah, the dogs were the highlight of the fair. the pic is leslie sayin “I’M DANCIN’” lol
we just bought a 5 yard game set from target. it has badminton, horseshoes, yard tennis, volleyball, and frisbee. lol. we played badminton for a lil bit today. come over and let’s bbq and play games! byor (bring your own racket), we only have 2! possibly byoc (bring your own chair). lol. we tried to find more yard furniture by going to yard sales and such, but nothing. sad.
cant wait til wednesdaayyyy…. x-mennnnnnnn. woooooooo!

eeeeeeeeeeee!!!! it’s me again. new domain cause i sadly lost jillm.net. i didnt renew it in time. :(
anyhooo, i bet you’re wondering how i came up with the domain, breaknfree.com…. welllll to tell you the truth, i recently saw Disney’s High School Musical. it’s been all the rage with the kids, so i decided to watch it. a while back i saw that some of the songs were on the Today’s Top Songs list on iTunes and the soundtrack even made it to #1 on the Billboard 200 chart. those songs are pretty damn catchy, i tell you. so i had been listening to the soundtrack for a while and i just so happened to decide that i wanted to get a new domain name. my favorite track from the album is what inspired me to get breaknfree.com. pretty cheesy, i know.
so what have i been up to lately? absolutely nothing. well, just working. nothing exciting. i dont have a real job yet. and i’m cool with that. i dont feel like im in a hurry to do so. although i do feel like im “behind” or something cause lots of other recent grads have “real” jobs. blah blah blah… whatever, im cool with my current situation. and that’s all that matters, no?
ahhhhh it’s that time again where tv shows are wrapping up their seasons. i hate cliffhangers. i think i said that last year about alias… i wish i had my archives. this whole being done with school this has gotten me watching a whole lot of tv. see, that’s what my days consist of now… work, food, tv, sleep. lol with the occassional hanging out and whatnot. so tv… why did lorelai sleep with christopher? did nathan drown? what’s in kendall’s briefcase? those are some burning questions that i have that will have to wait til fall for an answer. oh man, im so glad that alias is back, but sad that it’s going away. you guys should watch the streaming episodes on abc.com. O_O speaking of watching… you guys should watch veronica mars. hahahaha! but seriously you guys should. great show. i’ll even lend you my season 1 dvds. teehee. i need someone else to talk to about it… i think leslie is getting sick of veronica mars talk. lol. movies… saw some movies. some good, some not… cant wait til the da vinci code comes out… oh and x-men! im excited. opening day anyone? put it on your google calendar, mmmkay?
oh and posts on my blog will sometimes crosspost over to my livejournal. cause im nerdy like that.
